Journey came to us from a sanctuary in October 2017. She is an unbranded mustang, about 5 years old and stands at 15 HH. We are not too sure about her history. It is possible that she was gathered from sovereign territory and sent to auction or her mom was a BLM mustang and she was foaled after an adoption. Regardless, of all of that, Journey had little trust or faith in humans when she arrived. She would not allow you to touch her and she was afraid and nervous around people. Her interactions with people probably had been negative and traumatizing before ending up at the Sanctuary. The sanctuary saved her and now we are determined to restore her confidence in herself and mankind. With patience and daily interactions Journey is coming out of her shell. She has come along way since she arrived and has a ways to go before she is ready to leave us. Follow her Journey as we continue her training and working on building her confidence and trust. Adoption Fee is $500 but will increase with Training!

Apache was saved from Tar Heel Feedlot in January 2018 and placed into 30 day Quarantine in North Carolina. He arrived at the rescue at the end of February. He was listed at Tar Heel Feedlot as a Mustang, though his brand/marking is difficult to read with his current winter fuzzies. Apache is very sweet and an “in your pocket pony”, standing about 14 hands. He has begun a diet regime to gain weight safely and has begun training also. He appears to have been ridden before, though requires some ground manners and basic in hand instruction. Apache is inquisitive but not reactive; he loves to be groomed. Adoption Fee is $500 and will increase with training.
